Invitation

Dear Friends and Colleagues

On behalf of the Gauteng South OSSA Congress Organising Committee, it is my privilege to invite you to the 53rd OSSA Congress. This meeting of the Ophthalmological Society of South Africa will be hosted from 12 to 15 February 2025 at the Sandton Convention Centre. The venue is in the heart of the financial centre of the diverse, vibrant, and unique City of Johannesburg.

The academic programme remains the cornerstone of the congress and we look forward to a faculty of respected international speakers, in conjunction with our local alumni. Not only is it an opportunity to remain up to date with the clinical advances within our profession, but also the challenges related to healthcare economics and accessibility.

In a commitment to remain relevant and to improve the overall quality of the congress there have been a few changes to the programme of the allied professions and hope that these are well received by all attendees.

We look forward to you joining us in Jozi for the Congress and the fantastic social and entertainment events. I hope that it is an opportunity to reinvigorate your passion for our profession and to connect with friends and colleagues both old and new.

Kind regards

Barry Payne

Congress Chair, Johannesburg Branch of OSSA
